Audi TT RS - 2010

Regardless of almost endless spy pictures and other evidence, Audi stood firm on its denials of the existence of the TT RS. Who can blame them; no automaker ever admits that spy photographers are right. Although now, Audi has said a mouthful regarding the TT RS range. Most of it is already known but the most sought after details are kept mum.

The TT RS will use a five-cylinder 2.5-litre turbo engine for its quattro drivetrain. But here is where it gets a little sketchy. Audi says the car produces "well above 300bhp (224kW)" which is not much to say actually. Another important figure for the performance sector is the 100 km/h (62.14 mph) sprint time. Again details are at best in the grey zone with Audi only committing to saying it needs nowhere near 5 seconds to clock that sprint time. Read more.....
