It shared the 7.7 L (7668 cc/467 in³) pushrod-OHV straight-6 engine from its predecessor, being the last large six-cylinder Rolls. The engine was unitary with a 4-speed manual transmission. Synchromesh was added on gears 3 and 4 in 1932 and on gear 2 in 1935. Read more......
Rolls-Royce Phantom I .......
One major improvement over the Silver Ghost was the new pushrod-OHV straight-6 engine. Constructed as three groups of two cylinders with detachable heads (state of the art at the time), the large engine produced excellent power to pull the large heavy car. The engine used a 4¼ in (107.9 mm) bore and long 5½ in (139.7 mm) stroke for a total of 7.7 L (7668 cc/467 in³) of displacement. Aluminum was substituted for cast iron in the cylinder heads in 1928. The in-line 6 cylinder, overhead valve, engine is similar to that used in the 20/25 but increased in capacity to 4257 cc by increasing the bore from 3.25 inches (82.6 mm) to 3.5 inches (88.9 mm) with the stroke remaining at 4.5 inches (114.3 mm). The compression ratio is 6:1. A single proprietary Stromberg downdraught carburettor replaced the Rolls-Royce one and magneto ignition was no longer fitted but a standby coil was provided.[1] The four speed gearbox is mounted in unit with the engine and a traditional right hand change used. Synchromesh is fitted to third and top gears. Read more.......

The in-line 6 cylinder overhead valve engine was similar to that used in the 20HP but was enlarged to 3699 cc by increasing the bore from 76 mm to 82 mm with the stroke remaining at 114 mm. A single Rolls-Royce carburettor was used and both coil and magneto ignition were fitted. The four speed gearbox was mounted in unit with the engine and a traditional right hand change used. Rolls-Royce 200EX .....

The RR4 will be revealed in Geneva under the name 200EX concept. It's based on the long-wheel-base BMW 7-Series and will be sharing a few parts with it too. Mostly steel is to be used for its body construction and rearward-opening rear doors will feature. Though official dimensions are not yet released these official pictures of the 200EX show a very spacious rear interior. And so it should be since the whole car is about 5.4 metres (212 inches) long.

Rolls Royce Pearl White Phantom ......

As always with Project Kahn, the center of design expression is in the wheels. On this Pearl White Phantom, the wheels are meant to keep Rolls Royce's original badge emblazoned center cap, just in case someone mistakes your newly minted Rolls for a Chevy Caprice bought at a police auction. The 9.5 x 22-inch Kahn Silver Mist Rolls Royce wheels come with a "meticulous diamond polish" to each spoke. These wheels are a drama unto themselves. Read more......

Rolls Royce - Project Kahn Drophead Coupe .....

These new photos show the elegance of the DHC. The model already sold by Rolls Royce is meant to completely encompass the passenger in luxury, privacy, and quiet, while the driver is able to focus on the road with no distraction.
Project Kahn puts a highlight on the car with their Silver Mist wheel. The large, custom alloy measures 9.5" by 22" making it wider than the stock wheels. This is meant to give "a more sporty and aggressive feel." They also have another, darker grey tone wheel available in the same size. The original Rolls Royce center cap fits in the new wheels. Matte Black Rolls-Royce Phantom Menace....

Some speculation is in order here on this Rolls. Judging by this video, the setting is Southern California and one has to wonder who this car belongs to. A movie star? No, this car screams music industry outlandishness. Probably a hip-hop artist. By the way, is this thing bulletproof?
Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe .......

The familiar, upright styling of the Phantom has been subtly trimmed for the two-door version, for just a hint of athleticism. The Phantom Coupe’s distinctive rear-hinged “coach” doors open onto a five-passenger cabin that’s outfitted to Rolls-Royce’s exacting standard. Read more.......
Rolls Royce RR4 - Spied .....

The tried and tested design of the larger Phantom saloon clearly acts as the inspiration for this new model. Development cost and time has been saved by the engineers by using parts from BMW’s long-wheelbase 7-series but they will utilize a powerplant that’s uniquely Rolls-Royce. Most of the shared parts will include various electronic components but the car “will have the attributes and behavior of a Rolls-Royce” said Ian Robertson, CEO of Rolls-Royce. Read more......
Rolls-Royce Hyperion - Pininfarina .....

The Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe owned by Hall provides the base for the Hyperion, the rear seats of the model are removed leaving enough area to nudge the driving position back an extra 400mm.To accurately depict the styling of the pre-war cars, Pininfarina had to extend the roof which simultaneously shorten the rear end whilst keeping a beautiful array of soft flowing design lines. Rolls-Royce Hyperion ......

The new model will carry the label Hyperion – a name originating from Greek mythology and it is believed the styling is inspired by classic pre-war Rolls Royces. Under the hood, the same 453bhp 6.75-litre V12 from the Phantom Drophead Coupe can be found allowing the Hyperion to launch from standstill to 60mph in a little under 6 seconds. Read more......

Available in the styling kit is a 2-piece front spoiler which, unfortunately, is not compatible with an S-Line package. For the QUATTRO version only the spoiler without exhaust is a fit. read more......
Audi TT RS - 2010

The TT RS will use a five-cylinder 2.5-litre turbo engine for its quattro drivetrain. But here is where it gets a little sketchy. Audi says the car produces "well above 300bhp (224kW)" which is not much to say actually. Another important figure for the performance sector is the 100 km/h (62.14 mph) sprint time. Again details are at best in the grey zone with Audi only committing to saying it needs nowhere near 5 seconds to clock that sprint time. Read more.....

Notice the brake calipers with the RS badge on them? Yes, they've beef up the braking system but, more importantly, its a sign that Audi means business by slapping an RS tag even there.
The TT RS hearkens back to the brash, daring Audi's of the 1980s with a 5-cylinder engine providing the boogie for this top-of-the-line sports version of the TT. Read more.......

BMW 5-Series GT

The Gran Turismo production version will likely be very close to the concept, given that a new 5-series is expected in 2010 with a similar face. But the GT is larger than the standard 5-series, by means of an extended wheelbase, and differs in dimensions with the rear seats placed 15 cm (6 inches) higher. Space for the rear passengers is actually more than in a 7-series. Read more.....
Mercedes-Benz E-Class- 2010...

The early years of the 21st century brought increasingly complicated designs from all the German luxury car marques, but BMW, Audi, Merc and VW are all going back to nice clean lines coming together in cohesive designs.
With the 2010 E63 AMG available in showrooms this November, the most exciting bread-and-butter Mercedes-Benz motor available in the 2010 E produces an M5-besting 525 bhp from an all new AMG-built V8. Previous E Class models, even those from AMG, have been universally praised for their effortless power, while not exactly winning high marks for handling prowess when compared to competing Bahnstormers from BMW and Audi.
Mercedes-Benz seeks to up the ante in the new E with a 30 percent more rigid chassis and a completely redesigned available air suspension with automatically adjusting shocks and available AWD.
The only transmission choice is a 7 speed conventional automatic, albiet with manual shift controls. Drivers who prefer the feel and control of a conventional manual should look elsewhere.
New luxury features are led by a brand new tired driver nanny system, which will sound an alarm and display a coffee cup in-dash when more than 70 parameters suggest the driver is too tired to continue. Those driving a $60,000 machine with more than 500 horses on tap would do well to maintain maximum alertness and caffeination before stepping behind the wheel in the first place. view
